We are the closest hostel to the center of Banff, with some with amazing mountain views and the only hostel with an onsite fully licensed bar and restaurant, The Beaver!
Free Breakfast includes make-your-own pancakes, homemade muffins, fresh oranges and bananas, toast and a range of spreads, hardboiled eggs, juice, coffee and a range of teas.

Social and fun
We provide daily activities and hikes around the Banff area free of charge, as well as nightly activities in The Beaver.
And after a fun day out, come on back to our Beaver Bar for a bite and a beer where we host nightly events including karaoke, music bingo, live music and weekly trivia. With cheap eats and Happy Hour every night, it’s one of the most fun places to eat and drink in Banff.

Samesun Banff offers ski pass purchase for 3 local ski hills.

Our friendly and knowledgeable staff can help you with lift passes and transportation options to skiing at Sunshine Village, Lake Louise and Norquay during the winter season. Or if you’re here in the summer, we can help you get to our favorite places at Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Emerald Lake, Banff Hot Springs and the endless amount of trails. Enjoy hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, horseback riding, scenic gondolas, and many more outdoor activities.

great hostel, friendly staff, great atmosphere, clean rooms and bathrooms
The rooms and bathrooms had plenty of space, the kitchen had was stocked with very nice kitchen items, lots of space for food, great location
Very good location.
Good place to enjoy your stay in Banff. Spacious rooms and definitely on the clean side for a hostel. Cool staff which is not just there to work, but travellers themselves still enjoying meeting new people. Daily activities are really nice to meet people and fill your day when not on a daytrip.
