After spending most of my trip in major cities this place was a beatiful spot to escape the tourist buzz of busy streets and packed hostels. The staff were so friendly and it kind of felt like I was back home. The location is perfect for a little serenity with shops a couple of minutes bike ride away. So many activities to do, this place is in my top 5 favorite stops so far.

Loved my stay here. Gerhard is lovely and very helpful. It was like staying with a friend. The atmosphere was great we had a nice family feeling to our group during the two night stay. Beautiful area of Austria!! Would love to go back one day.

It is a great escape from the constant city touring. Having bikes at our disposal is really appreciated, and the home-cooked meals are delicious, well-portioned and inexpensive. You can also drink directly from the stream in the back of the hotel!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Treehouse, the owner is friendly and attentive but not intrusive and he was great in providing meals for my dietary requirements. The hostel has lots of character, is clean and the family pets added to the homely atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again.

This is the most amazing place to stay! Gerhardt + Sebastian are fantastic hosts, it's like staying with family. You can do everything from chilling in the lounge room watching movies to hiking through the nearby mountains. There's loads of activities that are really cheap to do. Food is fabulous. This was our favourite place to stay during our 3 months of travelling + we didn't want to leave!

This place is amazing! I have never been in a place like this, it is so special! Gerhard owns the place and is very friendly and helpful. Want to get out of the cities and relax? GO HERE! It was the best time of my travels. It is very clean and They make a really good dinner, breakfast is nice and they pick you up from the train station at any time. Gerhard is happy to help you to organize things and you can hire bikes. In the evening you can get drinks at the bar and you get the cleanest and coldest water just out of the river in the garden. The place is just beautiful and so relax! I would absolutely LOVE to go back.

Easily the best hostel I've ever stayed in, in the best location. I can't stress strongly enough how much I recommend this place. The atmosphere is relaxed, you feel completely at home with Gerhard, your host, treating you like one of the family. The home cooked food is delicious, and it's great to sit down to meals with everyone else. Smoking indoors is now banned on the back of feedback on here in csse that worries you. We got caught in a storm while out at archery, called Gerhard and he drove to get us so we didnt have to walk back in the storm. I say we -I was travelling alone, and busabout tours use this location in summer a lot, but I quickly got to know everyone there because Gerhard introduced me, and there's such a communal atmosphere, it's impossible not to get to know everyone. Most people stopping here for 2 nights extended to 4 and still didn't want to leave. There is no question I will come back. Come here to hike, wander about, swim in the lakes, ride horses, cycle, try archery -or come here and do nothing but relax with your wawater from the stream and Gerhard's wholesome food and feel immediately recharged. Then spend an evening drinking with Gerhard, his son Tommy and all the other guests and enjoy the best night of your trip. Thank you Gerhard, can't wait to come back!

this place was ammmmazing! the hosts are welcoming, helpful, accommodating and awesome cooks. definitely plan on eating dinner there every night and enjoying the beautiful scenery!

This place is awesome, peaceful quiet location, beautiful surroundings, including a river on the property and a nice lake within biking distance, at the foot of the Alps. Gerhard the owner is really friendly and helpful, and serves some tasty meals. A highly recommended hostel, will definitely visit again.

Imagine a cottage in the middle of the Alps. Surrounded by gorgeous forests, and clear clean drinkable river, and mountains whereever you look. This is the Treehouse!

The manager Gerhard was amazing. He calls you by name and makes you feel righ at home. I loved every bit about this hostel and am planning to go back!!!

Very nice and friendly staff (greatings for Anna!!!). Great neighbourhood, beautifill landscape, direct surroundings of the mountains, forests and the river, big patio, lots of space around the facility, safe parking place.
